BSF Leadership and Culture Certificate awarded to MTVH

Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH) – a member of the National Housing Federation’s G15 group of London’s largest housing associations – has been awarded the Stage One Certificate of Building Safety Commitment and Progress by Building a Safer Future, recognising its successful completion of the first stage of the BSF Champion assessment.

The first stage of the assessment involved the distribution of psychometric surveys examining the building safety leadership and culture of the organisation to a statistically significant sample of the workforce, followed by confidential validation discussions, enabling the assessor to deep dive into participants’ perceptions and experiences regarding the building safety culture at MTVH.

The resultant report provided in depth analysis and data, plus identification of development areas aimed at reducing the organisation’s risk profile. MTVH now moves on to the second stage of the Champion assessment – Corroborating Elements.

Jules Bickers, Director of Property – Asset Management at MTVH, commented:

“MTVH is delighted to be awarded this certificate through Building a Safer Future, we value the external scrutiny and rigour of the assessment process, which is driving continuous improvement within our organisation, we’re committed to the highest standards of safety for our residents and the BSF process is a strong enabler for us in our work.”

Steve Elliott, Non-Executive Chair of Building a Safer Future, commented:

“It is fantastic to see MTVH successfully completing the first stage of the BSF Champion assessment. This achievement recognises the commitment they have shown in prioritising their building safety journey so far. I wish them well in the second stage.”
